The first edition of Dr. A’s Habits of Health came out almost a decade ago. With the launch of the second edition underway–complete with the support of a full, dynamic system comprised of an interactive journal, a companion mobile app, and a new website all designed to work in unison with the cornerstone of Dr. A’s Habits of Health–we are fielding emails and messages about how exactly this new Habits of Health System is different.

The first edition impacted over half a million lives, and the community that has grown around the Habits of Health is full of incredible people with amazing stories of transformation.
But this past decade has changed me forever.
It has brought tears of gratitude that a physician who has spent most of his career focused on treating and reacting to disease and its accompanying suffering is now a part of a new movement, a way of thinking that creates joy, vibrant health, and thriving lives for so many. Hearing the countless stories about lives that have been changed and reading the daily emails and letters sent to me by people describing their transformational stories is humbling and gratifying.
It’s also fueling a burning desire to improve and to provide an even more practical and effective way to help people change their lives. Why was the first edition so powerful and life-changing? It was a refreshing comprehensive approach to reaching and maintaining a healthy weight. Making the move to optimal health was innovative, simple, and explained in a way that made sense.
But that was then and this is now. Many things have changed over the last ten years, and I am very excited about sharing what I have learned with you. The second edition of the Habits of Health is an evolution of the system, using the last 10 years of research, field experience, and expert insights to refine the tools we had and to introduce new, powerful ways to transform your health.
