I had created bad habits throughout my early life
I’ve been an athlete my whole life, and although I was skinny, I wasn’t healthy. I ate a lot of junk food, and I felt like I was lucky because I had good genetics. I just never gained any weight until I started a more sedentary life when I got out of college. But I really didn’t know anything, despite being an athlete.
The Habit of a Healthy Mindset was an eye opener
The biggest difference for me in the Habits of Health was the mindset.
I had actually started to hate exercise because I was just doing it to lose or maintain the weight that I had put on.
I had gotten good at shedding a few pounds here and there, and then it would go back up, but it was because I wasn’t living what I learned to be an integrated life.
I would piece little bits together here and there, but then we would go on a trip or I would have a week of work where I was traveling, and everything kind of unraveled. The good, the bad, and all the experiences of life had led me to the habits that I had created.
This world is really created by chain breakers, and I felt like this was my opportunity to become a chain breaker of what I had created in my own life.
I started becoming a more conscious individual because of those Habits of Health that we focus on.
